This past week included a visit from some friends from Minnesota....they came to play a little golf. Well besides stopping for food that was pretty much all they did. It was nice to see them and the guys enjoyed amazing weather while they were here. These guys compete with each other like their lives depended on it. Jeff won the first "round" and then on Saturday morning Brock took the game!

Then tonight we continued on with our family tradition....those of you who know our family know that we have been doing this for years! Dairy Queen in our pajamas the night before school starts. We all headed out in the dually. Last year at this time Brock had tears in his eyes thinking that it was our last year together as a family doing t
his. But as Brittany's plans changed, (for those of you who didn't know she did not go to Florida, she is attending college in LaCrosse, working at Hollister and in a serious relationship with a wonderful young man from our church here) she was able to join us and we treasure that we had ONE more year as six! If I have learned anything it's that we never know what the next year will bring.....man, you can't even count on what will happen next week. It was a beautiful evening with a breeze stirring up and bringing relief to a very hot, humid last day of summer.here's a pic of our four amazing kids! I treasure these moments.

I love your tradition of going to the Dairy Queen before school starts. What a loving brother Brock is!
